Well, this gig could go down in legend, if only for the fact that Dan Doormouse got so off his face he abused the other Planet Mu artists playing to the point he may be thrown off the label. That aside, this was a great night of music, in particular from the other Addict Record guys, Stunt Rock and Anonomous both putting in solid sets, but for my money it was Abelcain who stole the night. Absolutely amazing stuff from him, with his torturous horror movie strings and pounding disjointed beats. The set included some of the material he is working on for his forthcoming full length on Zhark which will feature tracks based around classic horror movie monsters. Doormouse's set was great, despite a few technical problems and Dan perhaps getting just a little carried away. Chevron played a fantastic set of splattering heavy beats and children's TV samples and Shitmat finished off the night with a set that was either enhanced or marred (depending on your point of view) by Doormouse intentionally trying to distract him, attacking him, ripping his trousers off and allegedly near raping him.
I didn't catch much of what was on in the other room but from what I hear Parasite, The Technoist, Producer and Scud all played blinding sets too. Here are the photos, although they don't give a true representation of quite how messy it got.
